Meeting Recap-September 29, 2012

In spite of the dreary skies and a few drops of rain three riders rode in to join five others to establish a quorum for our September meeting. We also had cameo appearances from Dan and Abby.

No Baloney Shop videos have been posted by Lutheran Hour Ministries since early August so we tried an episode from " What They Didn't Teach You In Sunday School". It was good and we'll probably use other episodes in the future. We also viewed a pair of videos that prompted discussion about " what would you do in this situation? "

These and a few "fail" compilations and a hilarious presentation by a fellow that had a mishap on his Silver Wing got everyone's attention.

Captain Crash gave us some instruction on Situation Awareness, Swerving and an Easy Way to Clean your Visor.

After a good deal of discussion it was decided to move the October ride to October 20th and head out to the Little River Canyon in Alabama. With a little luck the Fall foliage will make for a picturesque ride on the canyon overlook road.

Larry volunteered to coordinate the ride and will be sending out more information as the date for the ride approaches.

Because of the possible conflict in November with Thanksgiving weekend activities it was decided to combine the October and November meetings into one meeting on November 10th.

At the meeting we learned that Jim Burmeister has been hospitalized. We closed the meeting with a prayer for his quick recovery.
